1 of 10 Reflexed Roses

Reflexed Roses

This modern-style reflexed rose bouquet was created by Wedding Flower Company with Mondial and pink Mondial Ecuadorean luxury roses. These roses are available all year round and were paired with sprigs of eucalyptus to keep the focus on the roses. The roses were treated with care to be fully open before each petal was skilfully reflexed by their talented florists to create the fully opened ruffled look.

The long banquet-style tables at their reception were filled with the same pink reflexed roses and white hydrangeas with plenty of candles.

4 of 10 Autumn with a Twist

Autumn with a Twist

For this Autumn bouquet, The Way to Bloom embraces a romantic Moody Bridgerton Palette, stepping away from traditional reds and oranges for blush, peach, buttery yellow, and soft blue, accented by raspberry and deep pink tones. This palette brings a refined yet playful vibrancy, perfect for couples looking for a unique seasonal statement.

The bouquet features some speciality blooms like dahlias and zinnias that were locally sourced. 5 of 10 Houseplant-Themed

Houseplant-Themed

Full of personality and uniqueness, this houseplant meets zesty springs bouquet was created by Jenessa Hawks Florist. It focused on the rich greens from umbrella and asparagus ferns as the main focus, integrating a few stems of houseplants like Calathea and her own homegrown trailing Pothos to embrace the couple's love for having green fingers.

Jenessa threw in some pops of fresh spring flowers to contrast the greenery and make it a bit more bridal - featuring Ranunculus, Craspedia, Achillia and Calla Lilies. This is a great alternative to an all-floral bouquet with a fun twist. Whilst this used spring flowers, something similar can be created all year round with different seasonal blooms to help contrast.

How to Decide on the Perfect Bridal Bouquet

Selecting the right bouquet for your big day involves a lot of thought and planning to ensure it complements your wedding theme and look. We’ve curated five helpful tips to guide you:

1. Consider the Season

Aligning your bouquet with the season not only ensures its freshness but also ties your wedding naturally into its surroundings. For spring, think soft pastels like peonies and sweet peas. Summer brides might opt for bright, bold colours with delphiniums or dahlias. Autumn arrangements could feature rich, deep hues of marigolds and chrysanthemums, while winter bouquets can embrace red or white roses and dark greenery, decorated with pinecones or berry sprigs.

2. Balance with Your Dress

It’s recommended to find your wedding dress before you choose a bouquet. This allows you to have the style and silhouette of your wedding dress in mind. A large, cascading bouquet might overwhelm a simple gown, while a small posy could be lost against a more elaborate dress. White wedding dresses pair well with almost anything, but ivory, cream, or coloured gowns might require more thought.

3. Think About Bouquet Shape and Size

The shape and size of your bouquet should complement your wedding dress and shape to create a harmonious silhouette. For slim, sheath dresses, a tall, slim bouquet could enhance the sleek line of the gown, while ball gowns pair beautifully with larger, round bouquets. If you’re petite, consider a smaller, more compact bouquet to ensure it doesn't overwhelm your figure. A cascading bouquet can add dramatic effect and is a great choice for taller brides looking to make a bold statement.

4. Add a Personal Touch

Personalising your bouquet is a perfect way to make it truly unique and special to you. One of the easiest ways to do this is by choosing flowers that have a personal meaning to you and your partner. Other additional ways include adding a ribbon that matches your wedding colour scheme or attaching a pendant that holds sentimental value.

5. Consult with Your Florist

Your florist can offer invaluable advice and help bring your vision to life. During the consultation, share your budget, ideas, colour schemes, and any specific flowers you love, and they can guide you towards a bouquet that complements your wedding perfectly.
